DEMA Show Credentials Requirements

All attendees and exhibitors must submit credentials to participate in DEMA Show. This is a trade-only event for qualified dive, travel, and action water sports professionals.

What Documents Are Required?

Most badge types will ask for some combination of:

  • A valid business card (must include your name, title, and company)

  • A business document, such as:

    • Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN or EIN)

    • Business license

    • International business registry or document authorizing U.S. commerce

    • Paycheck stub (dated within 180 days of the Show)

  • Industry-specific documentation (e.g., invoices, certifications, assignments)

ATTENDEE BADGES

For owners or employees of a professional retail dive center who are responsible for purchasing dive-related equipment for resale to consumers.

Required (2 Documents)

  1. Wholesale Invoice(s) from a dive manufacturer totaling $1,000 or more, dated within the past 24 months.

    Invoice(s) must be billed to the business under which the attendee is registering. Line-item details may be masked for privacy, but the total purchase amount must be clearly visible.
     
  2. ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer ID Number (TIN) for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.

Badge Allotment

Businesses are allotted three (3) buyer badges at standard Show rates. $35 for each additional badge.

For employees of a professional dive center not directly responsible for purchasing.

Required (2 Documents)

  • Valid Business Card with name, title, and dive center name under which you are registering.
     

  • ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer ID Number (TIN) for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.
    • Paystub dated within 180 days of DEMA Show 2025 (must display your name and company name)

For owners or employees of a professional dive travel center (e.g., dive resort, dive travel agency, tour operator) or retail dive center who are responsible for making travel arrangements purchasing travel-related services for divers.

Required (2 Documents)

  • Wholesale Invoice(s) from a dive travel provider totaling $1,000 or more, dates within the past 24 months.

    Invoice(s) must be billed to the business under which the attendee is registering. Line-item details may be masked for privacy, but the total purchase amount must be clearly visible.
  • ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer ID Number (TIN) for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.

Badge Allotment

Businesses are allotted three (3) buyer badges at standard Show rates. $35 for each additional badge.

For individuals arranging (selling, organizing, and/or facilitating) dive-related travel. If you will purchase or make purchasing decisions at DEMA Show, please register as a Dive Travel Buyer.

Required (2 Documents)

  • ONE of the following:

    • Travel Association-issued Certification Card indicating one of the following: CTA, CTC, CTIE, ACC, MCC, ECC, ECCS, or LCS

    • Travel Organization Affiliation Card showing one of the following affiliations: ARC, IATA/N TSI, CLIA, or TRUE/Travel Sellers
       

  • And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer ID Number (TIN) for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.

For certified dive professionals (Dive Instructor, Assistant Instructor, Divemaster, or CON) working independently or within training organizations.

Required (1 Document)

  • Certification card from a recognized training agency with your full name and the level of professional certification achieved

For companies engaged in the wholesale distribution of dive equipment outside the U.S., either directly or through authorized international representatives. These businesses source gear from manufacturers or primary distributors and supply it to professional retail dive centers and other dive-related businesses in international markets.

Required (2 Documents)

  • Wholesale Invoice(s) from a dive equipment manufacturer totaling $1,000 or more, dated within the past 24 months.

    Invoice(s) must be billed to the business under which the attendee is registering. Line-item details may be masked for privacy, but the total purchase amount must be clearly visible.
  • And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer ID Number (TIN) for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.

Badge Allotment

Businesses are allotted three (3) buyer badges at standard Show rates. $35 for each additional badge.

For individuals and businesses authorized—by employment or contract—to represent dive brands, and conduct sales, marketing, or order collection on behalf of a scuba diving equipment manufacturer or distributor.

Required (2 Documents)

  • Valid business card (must include your name, job title, and company)

  • And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer ID Number (TIN) for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.
    • Paystub dated within 180 days of DEMA Show 2025 (must show your name and company name)

For companies that generate most of their revenue by supplying dive equipment or accessories to professional retail dive centers or destinations, but are not exhibiting at DEMA Show 2025.

Required (2 Documents)

  • Valid business card (must include your name, job title, and company)

  • And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer ID Number (TIN) for the business

    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.
    • Paystub dated within 180 days of DEMA Show 2025 (must show your name and company name)

For professionals whose primary source of income comes from working in the scuba diving industry in one of the following roles:

  • Boat/Live Aboard Operator
  • Commercial Diver
  • Dive Photographer/Videographer
  • Dive-Related Government or Military
  • Dive Resort Operator
  • Dive Instructor Training Organization
  • Educational Institution
  • Environmental Organization
  • Non-Profit Organization
  • Other Retailer
  • Public Safety/Rescue Diver
  • Show Organizer
     

Required (2 Documents)

  • Valid business card (must include your name, job title, and company)

  • And ONE of the following:

    • Taxpayer ID Number (TIN) for the business
    • Business license in the name of the business
    • International business registry information used in the country of origin OR documentation that permits buying in the U.S.
    • Paystub dated within 180 days of DEMA Show 2025 (must show your name and company name)

NOTE: in place of the documents above, Government dive teams may instead provide a business card or official government ID and official letter from your Chief or Commanding Officer confirming your role.

EXHIBITOR BADGES

For individuals working in an exhibiting company's booth.

  • Assigned exhibitor badges will be handled by your company's registration contact.
  • If you are also making purchasing decisions at DEMA Show, submit credentials to be designated as an Exhibitor Retail Buyer or Exhibitor Travel Buyer.
  • Manufacturing Representatives working in an exhibitor’s booth may receive an exhibitor badge through the exhibiting company. If not, they must register under the Attendee Manufacturing Representative category.

MEDIA BADGES

For journalists, editors, or reporters covering DEMA Show on assignment.

Individuals actively covering DEMA Show for an established media outlet may be eligible for complimentary registration, pending review of submitted credentials and work samples. Those not on assignment should register as an attendee under the Other Industry Professional category. Review additional information here.

Complimentary media badges are granted at DEMA's discretion and provide access to:

  • DEMA Show Floor
  • DEMA-Sponsored Education Seminars
  • Onsite Media Office

Note: Media badges do not include admission to Special Events. Some exhibitor-sponsored sessions may require additional fees or restrictions.

Media Eligibility & Requirements

Accepted credentials include:

  • Letter of assignment from an Editor
  • Proof of DEMA Show coverage within the past two years
  • Bylined articles or credited published/broadcast work from the past 24 months

Post-Show Requirement

All approved Media must submit proof of DEMA Show 2025 coverage within three (3) months of the event's close. Send materials to media@demashow.com

Media Policies

  • Credentials are required for admittance

  • Only qualified media will receive complimentary badges

  • DEMA reserves the right to deny credentials for false representation or misuse

  • Failure to provide coverage may result in future denial of media registration

Registration Notes & Badge Pickup

  • Media Badges may be picked up at express registration
  • Onsite registration is available at the Media Office
  • A valid photo ID is required to receive your badge
  • Advertising representatives must register as attendees online or onsite

Filming & Broadcasting

Filming or broadcasting from the show floor requires express written permission from DEMA Show management.

Media Responsibilities

Media attendees are responsible for their own travel and expenses.

How to Submit Your Credentials

Before arriving onsite at DEMA Show, ensure your credentials have been submitted and approved, as this will be needed to receive your badge.

Preferred Method: Upload during registration

Alternate Options:

  • Log into your registration dashboard to upload later
  • Submit via Email, Fax, or Mail (see below).

Submit Online (Preferred)

Credentials should be uploaded while registering online. You may also log into your dashboard after registering to upload them later.

File Guidelines for Uploading: 

  • Formats: PDF, JPG, or BMP
  • Max size: 1MB per document
  • Use unique filenames for each document

Badge Pick-Up Instructions

Once credentials and payment are approved, you'll receive a BADGE PICK-UP NOTICE via e-mail, which includes a distinct barcode.

When you arrive, bring this and a valid photo ID to check in quickly onsite. No need to print —the barcode can be scanned from your mobile device.
