Shelli Hendricks
As someone who has personally experienced becoming a dive professional as an encore career, I understand what it takes to make a successful transition as a dive pro and business owner.
When I first attended the DEMA Show as a newly minted divemaster in 2011, I quickly recognized the opportunity to provide world-class leadership, talent and organizational development practices for the small to medium sized businesses in the dive industry. For this reason, I formed Blue Horizon Solutions, now in our 10th year!
Since then, it has been my honor and privilege to equip dive professionals and business owners to unlock the human potential and increase business value. In addition to perennial speaking engagements at the DEMA Show and serving on DEMA board committees, I offer staff development workshops, business leader masterclasses and individual coaching to dive professionals.
As a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, SDI Open Water Instructor, I am a regular contributor to the DEMA Show, DiveNewswire, Scuba Diving Industry Magazine and other industry publications.
I hold a Ph.D. in Organizational Development and Change from Fielding Graduate University, a Master of Science in Educational Technology and is credentialed as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation. In addition, I am an Accredited Value Builder Guide, specializing in helping business owners to prepare for exit planning before they need it.
