Gabriel Rioux
With over a decade of experience operating Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) both above and below the surface, Gabriel Rioux made a significant transition from the fast-paced, safety-focused environment of Canada's oil and gas industry to the world of diving. Starting his journey as a technical diver, Gabriel quickly advanced to using Rebreathers, first with the Pelagian MCCR and later the IQsub FX CCR. His passion for diving led him to become a full-time TDI Instructor Trainer, sharing his wealth of knowledge with the next generation of divers.
Gabriel’s boldest move came when he took on the challenge of developing technical diving opportunities in Dauin, a region known for its shallow muck diving. While this decision may have seemed unconventional at first, the results have been nothing short of spectacular, discovering new possibilities for technical diving in Dauin and solidifying his reputation as a pioneer in the area.
