Aviad Cahana is the inventor of the Avelo System and CEO of Avelo Labs, where he leads the development of innovative, lightweight dive technology that uses water for buoyancy control. A professional chemical and environmental engineer, Aviad has served as CEO and CTO in the renewable energy sector.
He began his diving career as a CMAS and BSAC instructor in the Red Sea in 1998 and has since taught worldwide across multiple specialties, including technical diving. His engineering expertise and decades of dive experience inspired him to rethink traditional scuba and create a system designed for simplicity, control, and performance.
