Go Deeper with the National Marine Sanctuary System

While we live our day-to-day lives skimming atop a third of the Earth, 90% of the planet’s creatures live in an undersea habitat full of mystery and awe. The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation strives to connect each of us to the living seas within our marine sanctuaries, resulting in a healthier ocean through conservation, collaborative education, advocacy, and outreach. There’s a vast and diverse world awaiting you in our National Marine Sanctuaries. Let’s go deeper.

The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation was established in 2000 to provide outreach, advocacy, and funding for NOAA and National Marine Sanctuary programs that positively impact the communities that depend on the resources in our sanctuaries, whether on dry land or below the waves. NMSF backs a wide range of initiatives around the sanctuaries, including sanctuary-focused film festivals, educational workshops, community stewardship groups, and cutting edge research programs.

The National Marine Sanctuary Foundation needs your help to support the critical work in national marine sanctuaries. Visit us at Booth #1140 or online at to learn more.
