WARNING: Doing Business in California May Require Consumer Warnings or Face Severe Penalties!! – CA’s Prop 65 Statute
Information and background on prevalent California law that impacts anyone doing business in California regardless of where the company is located. The California Safe Drinking Water & Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as “Prop 65”) impacts any company that manufactures, sells, or distributes consumer products into California regardless of whether it is directly from the company, sold through distributors or provided through online internet sales. This presentation will discuss compliance measures for the statute and related regulations to protect companies from being the subject of an enforcement action where significant fees and costs could be imposed on the company.
