Overview

Malaysia, located in the Indo-Pacific Basin, is part of the Coral Triangle - the world's richest garden of corals and sea life. It has an equatorial climate with fairly average temperatures ranging from 32 Celsius during the day and 22 Celsius at night. Humidity is about 85 to 95 percent.Water temperature is 27 - 28 Celsius and during the dry months, the temperature may rise to 30 - 31 Celsius. Divers will not require thick wet suits. Malaysia offers a diverse underwater geography, such as sloping reefs, coral blocks, wall dives, deep dives, drift dives and wreck dives. Popular dive spots include Sipadan, Lankayan, Mantanani, Layang-Layang, Kapalai, Redang, Payar, and much more. Dive centers in Malaysia are numerous, well equipped, and certified by all internationally recognized dive agencies like PADI, SSI and SSAC. In order to conserve its rich marine life, Malaysia has set up several marine parks and the conservation efforts have resulted in prolific coral growth and fish life.
