Making a Splash in Turks and Caicos

Overview

Dive Provo believes the trip leader escorting the group should get as much enjoyment out of the vacation as the trip participants. Whether you’ll be conducting training onboard our boats or traveling with certified divers only, we’ll work hard to ensure that everything goes smoothly. Our welcoming all-instructor staff, who love diving in the Turks and Caicos, will ensure your group remains safe while having a great time. We'll work with you to set up a dive itinerary that satisfies your group’s interest and activity level. We can accommodate 15 divers on 2 of our boats, and 12 on the 3rd (each boat is tanked/insured for 20 divers.) Two-tank dives include excursions to dive sites in West Caicos, North West Point, French Cay, Grace Bay, and Pine Cay. Private charters can also be arranged. Dive Provo partners with a variety of resort accommodations ranging from moderate to luxury. When working with our reservations staff or your favorite travel planner, we’ll present you with the best options to fit your group's taste and budget.  Let’s get your group making a splash in Turks & Caicos in 2024.

  • A continuous barrier reef protects our beautiful shoreline.  With our boat diving packages, we visit dive sites at different areas on the exterior of this reef system.

The shortest boat ride is about 15 minutes, the longest an hour. The distance of the reefs from major civilization accounts for its unspoiled beauty.

Two-tank boat dives visit Provo's dive areas, including Grace Bay, Northwest Point, West Caicos, French Cay, Pine Cay, and Sandbore Channel. We rotate dives around all the areas so you get a taste of the variety Turks and Caicos scuba diving offers.

Divers depart at 8:30 a.m. from the docks at Turtle Cove Marina for diving along Provo’s north shore and from our dock on the island's south side for trips to West Caicos and French Cay. Return times from two-tank dives can be between 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. , depending on the destination. The south-side trips have the later return times.

Sites Visited: The single tank dives take place out in Grace Bay. A short boat ride from the dock dives here makes for a relaxing afternoon. The reef starts in about 25 feet of water under the boat and generally slopes gently to about 120 ft. Spur and groove coral formations offer interesting topography with many nooks and crannies for underwater creatures to hide in and for inquisitive divers to explore.

Requirements: These boat dives are for Certified Open Water divers or above or those taking the Discover Scuba DivingOpen Water Diver, or Open Water Referral Course with Dive Provo.

Departure/Arrival Times: The afternoon trips start around 2:00 p.m. for a single tank dive, returning at approximately 4:30 – 5:00 p.m.
