Explore the wonders of Komodo, Raja Ampat & Beyond

Overview

Explore the wonders of Komodo, Raja Ampat & Beyond

We are a PADI dive centre offering daily diving trips and liveaboard trips in Komodo, as well as mid-range liveaboard trips in Raja Ampat. We operate all year round in Komodo where we encounter stunningly healthy coral reefs, ridiculous amounts of colourful fish, graceful sharks and majestic mantas.

From October to April Mikumba Diving takes adventurous divers to spectacular scuba diving paradises with our liveaboard in Raja Ampat, Ambon, Alor and other locations in the Banda Sea.

  Products

  • Liveaboard in Raja Ampat
We use our brand new liveaboard Jelajahi Laut for our Raja Ampat and Misool trips offering 7, 8 and 10 day cruises in one of the best diving spots in the world!...

  • Raja Ampat, “The Four Kings”, is an archipelago comprising over 1,500 beautiful small islands, surrounding the four main islands of Waigeo, Batanta, Salawati, and Misool. Most sites are only accessible by liveaboard which means they are peaceful, breath-taking locations with an amazing array of sea life.

The territory within the islands of the Four Kings is enormous, covering 9.8 million acres of land and sea (so endless possibilities for liveaboard diving!), home to 540 types of coral, more than 1,000 types of fish and 700 types of mollusc. This makes it the most diverse living library in the world, with around 75% of the world’s species living here. Raja Ampat is a scuba diver’s dream come true and a fantastic place for snorkellers too!

Between November and April you could be lucky enough to dive with the gigantic and beautiful oceanic mantas. They come in during these months to get cleaned and to feed after being away during the rest of the year. Oceanic mantas are huge and are known to be very curious animals. They’ll come right up to you if you stay calm and close to the reef. You won't leave disappointed!

Our new liveaboard Jelajahi Laut (which means Explore the Sea in Indonesian) was built in Bira and was completed in October 2021. She will be staying in Komodo for the 2022 season and then doing the crossing to Raja Ampat later on in the year.

She has been designed by experienced divers and we built her from the ground up to be the perfect liveaboard.

The maximum boat capacity is 14 guests for most trips.  For full boat charters we can take 16 guests.

Communal spaces include a large sun deck with air-conditioned dining and living rooms.
