Entry requirements for Ecuador & Galapagos (effective October 19 2020) (Oct 27, 2020)

The Galapagos Islands are open to visitors with new biosecurity control regulations. International flights into Ecuador (GYE and UIO) are operating regularly. Avianca operates a flight on Sundays into San Cristobal or Baltra and seats in business class can be requested. You will be required to wear a mask in public and practice social distancing including at the hotels and airports.

Arrivals to Ecuador

Travelers must present a negative RT-PCR test for COVID-19 issued within 10 days of arrival and complete a Traveler Health Declaration Form that identifies the address of your stay while in Ecuador. Upon arrival, you will be screened for symptoms, a temperature check and complete an immigration form. Arriving travelers with a valid test certificate no longer need to enter quarantine unless they present symptoms.

Arrivals to Galapagos

Foreigners traveling to Galapagos must present a negative RT-PCR test for COVID-19 taken within 96 hours prior to the departure to Galapagos. The same PCR test to enter Ecuador may be presented provided the test was taken within 96 hours prior to the flight. We highly recommend guests arrive with a RT-PCR test to enter Galapagos. Otherwise, you will be required to take a second RT-PCR test in Ecuador before boarding the flight to Galapagos at your own expense. A PCR test is not required for children age 17 and under to enter Galapagos. Testing is not available at the airports and will need to be arranged in advance through your hotel, DMC or with Ecoventura.

Four master staterooms on the upstairs deck, large window with ocean views (two twin beds convert to a king bed). Four deluxe staterooms on the lower deck, porthole with ocean views (2 built-in twin beds) All staterooms include private bathroom with shower, toilet, hair-dryer, plush towels, waffle bathrobes, slippers, bio-degradable soap and shampoo. Cabins are cleaned twice daily and nightly turn down service is provided.

Gourmet style menus using locally sourced ingredients from providers who act sustainably are creatively prepared by our culinary school trained chefs. Dining room with booth style seating. Breakfast and lunch is buffet style and dinners are fine plated.

All house wine, beer, full bar, soft drinks, juices, coffee and tea are included.

11 experienced Ecuadorian crew members; including a high level Captain, two expert naturalist guides / Dive Masters (one for every eight divers).

Spacious lounge area for relaxing and dive briefings, Apple TV with pre-loaded movies or to use for presentations, interior bar for evening gatherings. Library stocked with publications on Galapagos and Darwin, Boutique offering logo’d t-shirts.

Spacious sun deck with day beds, chaise lounges, and hammocks.
