  • ATLANTIC SALT™ YELLOW
Spyderco’s Atlantic Salt combines a sheepfoot profile, an aggressive SpyderEdge cutting edge, and the extreme corrosion resistance of H-1® blade steel to yield a knife that offers extreme cutting performance in even the most demanding environments....

  • The blunt tip of a sheepfoot blade prevents accidental punctures and provides an extra measure of safety in many work environments. For that reason, it has long been the blade shape of choice for mariners and water sports enthusiasts. Spyderco’s remarkable Atlantic Salt folding knife supercharges the traditional sheepfoot profile with an aggressive, fully serrated SpyderEdge™ cutting edge and the extreme corrosion resistance of H-1® steel. H-1 is an extraordinary nitrogen-based steel that is incredibly tough and fearlessly resistant to corrosion, even in saltwater. The Atlantic Salt’s hollow-ground blade also features a fully-accessible Trademark Round Hole™ for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening and a 50/50 index-finger choil (finger groove) that allows a forward grip for enhanced control. The knife’s fiberglass-reinforced nylon handle is injection molded in a high-visibility yellow and includes an integral shackle key and a non-slip Volcano Grip™ texture. It also houses the knife’s high-strength back lock mechanism and a reversible pocket clip that provides tip-up carry on either the left or right side. The ultimate modern expression of the traditional mariner’s knife, the Atlantic Salt epitomizes Spyderco’s commitment to reliable high performance.
  • SNAP-IT™ SALT
The snap shackle of Spyderco’s Snap-It Salt allows it to clip to a D-ring or other platform for quick access. Its fully serrated blade is made from ultra-corrosion-resistant H-1®steel and its high-visibility molded handle features non-slip rubber panels....

  • The Snap-It was a unique departure from Spyderco’s groundbreaking CLIPIT® knives, which pioneered the concept of one-hand-opening, clip-carry folders. Instead of a pocket clip, it featured a snap shackle attached to the pivot-pin end of the handle. The shackle allowed the user to clip the closed knife to a D-ring, carabiner, or similar platform to hang in a position where it was easily accessible. This unique feature earned a U.S. utility patent and made the knife an instant hit with climbers, fisherman, first responders, and other knife users for whom pocket carry was impractical. It also allowed it to win Blade magazine’s prestigious “Overall Knife of the Year” award in 1993.

The original Snap-It featured a hollow-ground blade made from GIN-1/G-2 stainless steel. Available with a PlainEdge™ or SpyderEdge™ cutting edge, it had an injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle and a textured Kraton® rubber insert panels. In 2016, Spyderco reintroduced this groundbreaking design as a member of its Salt® Series of ultra-corrosion-resistant knives. As a proud member of this elite family of cutting tools, the Snap-It Salt combines all the features of the original with the remarkable corrosion-resistant properties of H-1® steel.

Traditional steels are produced by adding carbon to iron. This changes the molecular matrix of the metal and gives it the ability to be altered through heat treatment to produce hard, durable tools like knife blades. Unfortunately, carbon-based steels have a fatal flaw: they are vulnerable to rust. While modern high-chromium stainless steels are less susceptible to corrosion than carbon steels, they are not immune to it—especially when used in saltwater environments. H-1 is a radically different alloy that uses nitrogen instead of carbon to create the material’s steel-like properties. It is also an austenitic steel that does not require a conventional heat treating process. Instead, the mechanical processes used to roll the steel and shape the blade “work harden” it. Those areas—like the cutting edge—that are “worked” the most become the hardest. The result is a blade material that holds an excellent edge, is incredibly strong and flexible, and is extremely resistant to rust.

By combining the remarkable properties of H-1 with the functionality of the innovative Snap-It, the Snap-It Salt sets a new standard in corrosion-resistant cutting tools. Its broad, hollow-ground H-1 steel blade features a fully serrated SpyderEdge™ that cuts with extreme power and efficiency, even through demanding materials like wet rope. The blade’s oversized Trademark Round Hole™ provides exceptional leverage during right-handed one-hand openings.

For high visibility in and around the water, the handle is injection molded from bright yellow FRN. It houses a stout back lock mechanism that locks the blade securely open when in use and textured black Kraton panels for a secure grip, even when wet. The knife’s steel-reinforced FRN shackle features a spring gate that, like the other components of its screw-together construction, is also fearlessly corrosion resistant.

The Spyderco Snap-It Salt is an incredibly functional folding knife that combines innovative design and a proud history with state-of-the-art rust-resistant materials.

  • SALT® 2 BLACK BLADE
Spyderco’s Salt 2 elevates the iconic Delica® 4 with the incredible corrosion resistance of H-1® blade steel. Its hollow-ground blade is available in PlainEdge™ or SpyderEdge™ formats and the option of a stealthy black titanium carbonitride coating....

  • Spyderco’s popular Delica® model helped pioneer the concept of a lightweight folding knife with an injection-molded handle and continues to be one of the best-selling folding knives in history. To make this iconic design even better suited to those who work in and around the water, in 2003, Spyderco created the Salt 1. It combined all the features and benefits of the third-generation Delica lightweight with an extraordinary blade steel called H-1®.

The Salt 1 redefined the state of the art in hard-use, corrosion-resistant cutting tools. However, the knife on which it was based—the third-generation Delica Lightweight—had continued to evolve to incorporate a number of improvements. Consistent with Spyderco’s commitment to Constant Quality Improvement (C.Q.I.), we revamped the design to create the Salt 2. It combines all the salient features of the Delica 4 Lightweight model with the ultra-corrosion-resistant advantages of H-1 steel. These include enhanced ergonomics, a high-traction Bi-Directional Texturing™ pattern on the handle, and a black-coated titanium pocket clip that supports left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. Unlike the Delica 4, which uses stainless steel liners in the handle, the Salt 2’s handle components are molded from solid FRN and fitted with four sets of threaded stainless steel inserts to mount the four-position clip. All other metal hardware on the Salt 2 is also machined from special rust-resistant alloys.

In addition to the standard versions of the Salt 2, which had satin-finished blades, Spyderco also introduced a black-handled version with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coated blade. The stealthy hollow-ground H-1 blade is available with a choice of a PlainEdge™ or fully serrated SpyderEdge™ cutting edge and proudly features Spyderco’s Trademark Round Hole™ for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening. To complement its TiCN-coated blade, the lock bar of the knife sturdy back lock mechanism and all its other handle hardware also feature black coatings.

  • DRAGONFLY™ 2 SALT
Spyderco’s Dragonfly 2 Salt is a compact, ultra-corrosion-resistant folder that cuts with authority far beyond its size. Perfect for everyday carry, it’s the ideal cutting tool for use in and around the water....

  • The Dragonfly was one of the first Spyderco knives designed with a handle that is purposely smaller than the hands of most end users, yet still capable of serious cutting performance. It accomplished this through the inclusion of an index-finger “choil.” Also known as a “50/50 choil,” this feature is essentially a finger groove located at the intersection of the blade and handle. It provides a safe, solid purchase for the index finger and positions the hand further forward on the knife. Despite the compact handle, the choil allows the hand a very generous gripping surface that offers comfort, control, and impressive cutting leverage.

Originally released in 1994, the first-generation Dragonfly was a member of Spyderco’s groundbreaking lightweight series of knives. These knives pioneered the use of fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handles and included molded integral pocket clips configured for right-side tip-up carry.

To accommodate left-handed users and provide a completely ambidextrous format, Spyderco later redesigned the Dragonfly to incorporate a reversible deep-pocket wire pocket clip and an enhanced Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern on both sides of the injection-molded handle. The second-generation Dragonfly 2 went on to become one of Spyderco’s most popular models.

For end users who work in and around the water, Spyderco decided to adapt the Dragonfly 2 to our remarkable Salt® Series of ultra-corrosion-resistant knives by equipping it with a blade crafted from H-1® steel. Conventional steels are produced by adding carbon to iron.

The Dragonfly 2 Salt combines all the proven qualities of this iconic model with the fearless corrosion resistance of H-1. Available in a choice of PlainEdge™ or fully serrated SpyderEdge™ formats, it features a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole™ for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening, a sturdy back lock mechanism, and a high-visibility yellow FRN handle that ensures it can always be found when it’s needed most.
