St. Eustatius "Statia" is a rare Caribbean island with old-world appeal that feels like stepping into the Caribbean 40 yr. No mass tourism, duty-free shopping, or cruise ships. Statia is peaceful, friendly, and flooding with local culture.
Surrounded by protected marine reserve, the diving in Statia is spectacular boasting healthy reefs, turtles, rays, nudibrachs, sharks and large schools of reef fish.
Statia offers the best night dive experience in the Caribbean on the Chien Tong with the entire wreck covered in blooming orange cup coral, crawling with spotted moray eels and cryptic crabs all while swarming with sea turtles large and small coming to sleep for the night.
With only one boat allowed on each dive site, divers have a private experience throughout their entire holiday. Wreck, reef, walls, and muck diving for Blue Beads; a dive for everyone!

With over 1000 hectares (almost 4 miles) coral reef, St. Eustatius ("Statia") has more reef environment then either Bonaire or Saba and almost as much as the two combined.

Golden Rock Dive Center (GRDC) is independently owned and operated as are all of the hotels on Statia. We offer special pricing through all Statian hotels and many independent rental homes on the island. We will help you select the accommodation that bests suites you based on location, price, and amenities.

Though we are a small and secluded island, we offer accommodations ranging from quiet country side cabins overlooking the southern Caribbean Sea to Luxury Private Villas with awe-inspiring Atlantic Ocean views. Want a nice little hotel room just steps from the dive shop on the bay or a private home to make your own meals in the heart of town (it is a small little heart, but a good one!). We can help you find what you want to enjoy your non-diving time.

We also organize your transportation needs (car/scooter rental or airport transfer).

Want to set up special excursions when not diving or for any non-diving companions? No problem! We can do that to.
