The Vessel

Built in 2015, the Samambaia is a magnificent, traditional Phinisi vessel sailing only the world’s top-rated dive sites in Indonesia. Fitted with all the features of a modern diving boat, it was designed and built to offer its guests absolute comfort, safety, and autonomy regardless the remoteness of the dive destination.

Staterooms

The Samambaia accommodates 14 guests in six 140 sq ft below deck Deluxe cabins and a 160 sq ft Master cabin on the main deck. All cabins offer ample room for storage without compromising on extra space for relaxing, and are equipped with individual air-conditioning and private, en suite bathrooms. The Master cabin, located on the aft deck, offers a breathtaking 180° view with its large, privacy-coated windows.

Salon and Upper Deck Seating

A large open plan salon on the main deck offers unobstructed views and a combination of an indoor dining room and lounge area.  An outdoor dining area is also available when weather permits.  Samambaia’s culinary experience is one of the best of any liveaboard operating in Indonesia. With daily prepared fresh breads and pastries, carefully chosen, sustainably-sourced fish and seafood, and a selection of fine wines, the kitchen spoils with an international cuisine, while focusing on fresh, local ingredients.  Large outdoor seating areas ont he main and upper deck allow for every guest to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Indonesian islands.

Dive Deck and Camera Room

The dive deck has dedicated wetusit storage as well as large individual gear storage for all gests.  The tender boats are accessed via a stairway on the port side of the vessel.  An enclosed camera room directly off the dive deck allows for quick and easy battery or lens changes between dives.

Itineraries

Samambaia's itineraries are curated to insure the vessel is visiting a destination at the region's optimum time.  The vessel cruise the archipelago throughout the year visiting the world class areas of Bali, Komodo, Alor, Raja Ampat, the Banda Sea, the Forgotten Islands, Triton Bay and more.
