Pam Miller

Pam Miller began her involvement with the non-profit foundation, Save Our Leatherbacks Operation (S.O.L.O.), when she joined one of their diving expeditions that visited the nesting beach in Papua, Indonesia, to see their work in partnership with a local village to increase the hatching rate of that endangered sea turtle. After one sighting of a mother Leatherback digging her nest on the beach, laying her eggs, and returning to sea, Pam was captivated. Since her retirement from her career as a chemical engineer and business manager with a major international corporation, Pam has served as a volunteer Director (unpaid) of S.O.L.O. She is currently engaged in the foundation's newest projects, 11th Hour Heroes and Project Komodo, both of which focus on the trash in our oceans which is harming and killing turtles and other sea-life.
