The Importance of Strobe Positioning in Underwater Photography

Many underwater photographers buy an external strobe, but then leave their strobe in the same place for all of their dives. These photographers may either not understand the effects different positions have, or it may be difficult to place their strobe in certain positions. In this talk, we will discuss the basics of lighting, including front, back and side lighting. We will talk about the ease of use of different strobe-arm configurations, and the pros and cons of using two strobes instead of one strobe.
